About the Resilience Workshops

I am delighted to share my guided resilience training techniques.  In a comprehensive workshop, I will guide you through the thought process and techniques which are specifically designed to develop your positive emotions, engage more efficiently with others, develop your relationship skills, begin the journey to finding your meaning in life, and develop a sense of accomplishment.  Additionally, the workshops will focus on your physical activities, nutrition and the quality of your sleep.

Do you feel that your life lacks real joy, happiness, love, compassion, and gratitude?  Are you unable to engage in the things you use to love, things that brought you happiness, where you are focused at the moment, where time stood still?  Are your relationships distant, you feel lonely and unsupported?  Do you feel your life has no meaning, unable to connect to something with real purpose and quality?  Can you recall the last time you made a significant accomplishment, something that you look back on and feel real joy and respect?

Have you ever wanted to find out more about resilience training but were unsure what it was or how these positive techniques can assist you in your daily life.  I am delighted to share my guided resilience training techniques.  In a comprehensive 5 day workshop, I will guide you through the thought process and techniques which are specifically designed to develop your positive emotions, engage more efficiently with others, develop your relationship skills, begin the journey to finding your meaning in life, and develop a sense of accomplishment.  Additionally, the workshops will focus on your physical activities, nutrition and the quality of your sleep.

If practiced on a regular basis, if possible daily, the methods and techniques learned in the Resilience Workshop represent a very real opportunity for you to begin really enjoying your life.  If you embody the practices of resilience, you will also start to make significant steps towards attaining the goals that you have set for yourself. The Resilience Workshop is 5-day group workshop for adults that combine experiential learning with the practice of resilience techniques and group discussion. Led by a professional mental health practitioner, you will learn how to;

  • Cultivating gratitude and realistic optimism in your life,
  • Understanding that emotions and behaviors are triggered by how you interpret events in your life,
  • Reframe your thinking to take purposeful action,
  • Understand life’s purpose and values
  • Develop mindfulness,
  • Capitalize on your strengths,
  • Actively engage and respond constructively to life events,
  • Build social support networks during adversity
  • Develop interpersonal problem-solving skills, and
  • Strengthening your community connections

With daily reading assignments and resilience practice commitments, the more time an individual invest in the workshop, the better your outcomes tend to be. However, each has the choice of how to embody resilience practices into their day.

What is Resilience?

Resilience is the ability to withstand, recover, and grow in the face of stress in your life and the constant changing demands modern living represents.  Resilience is not just one particular skill or technique, but rather a set of resources and skills that promote effective problem-solving, adaptability, active coping, self-regulation, and social support within individuals.

Why Resilience?

Someone who builds and improves their resilience and wellbeing can respond to life stress and reduce their experience of catastrophic mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Improved resilience allows an individual to succeed and thrive in modern life.

How can I start a resilience practice?

I invite you to contact me to discuss your specific needs and to answer any questions you have about resilience training and my practice.  Workshops are held periodically, and advanced bookings are essential.  If you are unable to make it to the allotted Resilience Workshop, I will arrange for you to participate in the next available workshop.
